Installation

Download the latest binaries from the Releases page.

Desktop

Linux

Download the .deb package (Debian/Ubuntu) or .rpm package (Fedora/RHEL) and install it.

macOS

1. Download the .dmg from releases.
2. Open the package and drag GitWriter to your Applications folder.

Unsigned App Quarantine

Since the macOS build is currently unsigned, macOS Gatekeeper may show a quarantine notice. To allow the app to run, execute:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/GitWriter.app

Windows

Download and run the .exe installer from the releases page and follow the setup wizard.

Mobile

Android

Download the release .apk directly from the Releases page and install it on your device (ensure Install from unknown sources is allowed in your Android settings). For better experience with automatic app updates you can you Obtanium

iOS

The iOS build is currently distributed as an unsigned .ipa. Sideload it using your free Apple ID with your preferred sideloading tool:
